Exercise at work

Ah yesterday… I woke up at 6am to go to work- it was very cold (like 30 degrees-ah!) and windy, so because my job at the golf course depends on weather I called to see if they wanted me to definitely come in.
What’s that? No they don’t? Sweet I’m staying in my warm bed. I’m also so sore from my interval run and body pump that I can barely move anyways.

Another hour later- what’s that? They want me to come in now? What, it’s sunny!? Argh …. So there i go into work.

Work was less than exhilarating. I was just sleeping sitting at my chair waiting for customers and I decided I needed to get off my butt!

What did I decide do to pass the time? Squats, lunges, tricep dips on my chair, wall push-ups, side leg raises, and I would have EVEN done burpees if the floor wasn’t gross old concrete. I even threw some cardio moves like high knees and butt kickers in there.

Yup, I did squats- butt to the chair!

I instantly felt energized and thought wow maybe I should do this when I wake up instead of the whole coffee thing… Wait- nah who am I kidding- that’s not gonna happen. 😉 I’ve realized that this is definitely something I’m going to incorporate from now on- instead of feeling all sluggish and tired once my caffeine wears off.

Now I know, not everyone has my kind of “job” that’s kind of on there own and they’re not very busy, but how many of you exercise at work? When and what do you do? Butt clenches at your desk? Or do you exercise on your lunch hour? Does it give you that little boost you need? Let me know- I might need some new ideas!
